Short biography Lindsay (she/her/hers) earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2012 and is fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan and Illinois. Lindsay is a graduate from the University of Michigan post graduate Sexual Health Certificate program in dual tracks as a Sexuality Educator and Sex Therapist. She is also a fully certified AASECT Sex therapist. Lindsay is currently seeing clients at RISE - Resilient Inclusive Sexual Health Education & Therapy PLLC with a focus on sexual health, LGBTQ folxs, kink, and relationship formations larger than two. Lindsay opened RISE in 2022 and is the Director of the practice. www.risetherapyservices.com From 2013 - 2021 Lindsay worked clinically at the University of Michigan now known as Michigan Medicine. For three years she provided acute psychological trauma services in the medical emergency department before transitioning into Sexual Health. She then provided individuals and couples therapy specific to Sexual Health at Michigan Medicine's Center for Sexual Health from 2016-2021. Lindsay also worked collaboratively with the obstetrical/gynecology medical team as the sexual health counselor at Michigan Medicine Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital in the Vulvar Disease Clinic from 2016-2021. She was also the sexual health counselor in the prostate cancer survivorship clinic at Michigan Medicine working with post prostatectomy patients and their sexual partners from 2017-2021. Lindsay provided ongoing lectures/sexual health education for residents, fellows, interdisciplinary staff, and physicians at Michigan Medicine in the following departments: psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology, social work, and the medical school. Lindsay was also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Advancement of LGBTQ Health at Michigan Medicine. She is currently on the Sexual Health Advisory Committee for the Ann Arbor Public School. Clinically Lindsay approaches therapeutic work from a queer, eclectic, feminist, humanistic, and strength-based perspective integrating different intervention modalities to best support each individual. Lindsay has clinical strengths in working with LGBTQ+ populations, athletes, the intersectionality of medicine and sexual health, inclusive sexual health education/treatment, and sexual dysfunctions. She is a Queer, Kink and Polyam aware provider.
