Ms. Mikaela Campbell
Gender Female
Designation LPC-MH
Short biography I completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with specialized focus in the area of marriage and family therapy, in 2012 from The University of South Dakota. I then worked for Children's Inn, an agency providing shelter, support services, group and individual therapy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, which led to additional training in trauma informed care. In 2016, I transitioned to private practice in the Yankton and Vermillion, SD area and enjoyed a general practice with areas of interest being counseling for children, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, folks who are neurodivergent, and couples. In 2018, I began training for certification as a sex therapist with the Institute of Sexual Wholeness. Currently, I enjoy a general practice looking to further specialize in sex therapy, specifically women's sexuality and sexual health issues and sex therapy with couples. I work in a interdisciplinary clinic and value a holistic, collaborative approach in counseling.
