Research and publications
Research interests: Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction, male sexual medicine, and non-surgical multimodal approaches to sexual dysfunction. Current research: Lead author of “A Standardised Multimodal Regenerative Treatment Protocol for Peyronie’s Disease: A Prospective Observational Study of Clinical Outcomes in 20 Consecutive Patients.” The manuscript has been submitted to BMC Urology and is currently undergoing peer review. The study evaluates clinical outcomes following a standardised multimodal treatment approach for Peyronie’s disease, including changes in penile curvature, pain, erectile function and patient-reported outcomes. This research was also presented internationally in 2026 and received 1st place at IUCC 2026. Ongoing research interests include focused shockwave therapy, platelet-rich plasma, traction and vacuum therapy, and multimodal rehabilitation approaches in male sexual medicine.

Treatment and services
Specialist assessment and non-surgical management of male sexual health conditions, including: • Peyronie’s disease • Erectile dysfunction • Penile rehabilitation following prostate cancer treatment • Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) • Erectile performance concerns Clinical approaches may include focused shockwave therapy, penile traction and vacuum therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and PRP/HA injection therapies, and intralesional therapies for Peyronie’s disease, alongside individualised multimodal treatment pathways where clinically appropriate. Intracavernosal injection therapy may also be used for erectile-function assessment, rehabilitation and management where clinically indicated. Patients requiring medical, surgical or specialist urological management are referred to, or managed collaboratively with, appropriate medical specialists.

Leon Almashan BSc (Hons), HCPC Leon Almashan is Clinical Director and Men’s Health Specialist at MansMatters, a CQC-registered men’s health clinic in London. He qualified from St George’s, University of London in 2006 and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). His clinical work focuses on male sexual health, particularly Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction and penile rehabilitation. He has worked with men experiencing sexual dysfunction for more than a decade, with a particular interest in non-surgical, regenerative and multimodal treatment approaches. Leon is a Full Member of the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) and is actively involved in clinical research. He is lead author of a prospective observational study investigating a standardised multimodal treatment protocol for Peyronie’s disease, currently undergoing peer review with BMC Urology. His research on Peyronie’s disease received 1st place at the Interdisciplinary Urology Care Consortium (IUCC) in 2026. His clinical and research interests include Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction, penile rehabilitation and the evaluation of emerging non-surgical approaches within male sexual medicine.
